Do you provide accommodation for out-of-station interns? +
Yes, we do. We provide comfortable accommodation directly for our out-of-station interns so you don't have to worry about finding a place to stay. You can focus entirely on your clinical training while enjoying a safe living environment in Palampur.
Is there an interview or selection process to join? +
No, there are no strict interviews or formal selection hurdles. Our internship program is completely open and welcoming to everyone. Whether you are a brand-new student eager to learn the basics or an experienced individual looking to refine advanced skills, you are welcome here.
Is this internship open to both undergraduate and master's students? +
Yes, we welcome students from both BA/BSc and MA/MSc psychology backgrounds. The depth of your tasks, case discussions, and level of clinical observation will be strategically scaled to match your current academic level and clinical readiness.
Will I be allowed to interact directly with real clients? +
Yes! While you will initially start by shadowing to understand our process, you will absolutely get the opportunity to interact with clients. Depending on your progress and strict ethical guidelines, you will assist with intake histories and basic assessments under the direct supervision of our senior psychologists.
Who will be supervising and mentoring me? +
You will be directly mentored by highly experienced clinical professionals, including Leena Mehta. Our team is dedicated to providing you with grounded, real-world psychological insights and continuous, constructive feedback on your clinical skill development.
Can I complete this internship in an online or hybrid format? +
While we highly recommend the immersive offline experience at our Palampur clinic, we understand travel isn't possible for everyone. We do offer flexible online and hybrid internship formats that utilize virtual clinical simulations, case studies, and remote mentorship sessions.
What specific therapeutic modalities will I learn about? +
Interns gain exposure to a variety of evidence-based approaches. Depending on the caseload, you will observe the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), foundational person-centered counseling skills, and the unique dynamics involved in couple and family therapy.
What are the standard working hours and expectations? +
Interns are expected to maintain professional clinic hours, typically running from Monday through Saturday. Punctuality, adherence to a professional dress code, and maintaining strict, non-negotiable client confidentiality are absolute requirements for the program.
