01 About Vaishalya Healing
Vaishalya Healing is a mental health counselling practice based in Himachal Pradesh, India, operated by Leena Mehta, a postgraduate-qualified counselling psychologist with APA-recognised certification.
Our services are offered through the website vaishalyahealing.com, in-person at our practice, and online via video or telephone. Vaishalya Healing is a private practice and is not a hospital, emergency mental health service, or Government-regulated clinical facility.
Vaishalya Healing is affiliated with the Asha Bhupender Trust but operates as a separate, independent service with its own terms, policies, and clinical approach.
02 Nature of Services
Vaishalya Healing offers the following services:
- Individual counselling for adults
- Couples and relationship counselling
- Family therapy
- Child and adolescent counselling
- Anger management counselling
- Grief and trauma support
- De-addiction support counselling
- Residential Women's Wellness Centre programme
- Online sessions via video call or telephone
Important: Counselling is not the same as psychiatry or clinical psychology under a medical licence. We do not prescribe or advise on medication. If you require psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, or prescription, you must consult a qualified psychiatrist or medical doctor.
Our services are therapeutic and supportive in nature. They are not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency intervention. Results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
03 Eligibility
To use our services directly, you must be 18 years of age or older. Persons under 18 may access counselling only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must also be present or available for the initial consultation.
By booking a session, you confirm that:
- You are 18 or older, or a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a minor
- The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
- You are not using this service as a substitute for emergency care
- You understand that counselling outcomes are not guaranteed
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual where we believe, in our professional judgement, that our services are not appropriate for their needs, and to refer them to a more suitable provider.
04 Appointments & Booking
Appointments may be requested through the booking form on our website, by email, by telephone, or via WhatsApp. A booking is not confirmed until you receive an explicit confirmation from Vaishalya Healing — by email, message, or call.
We will endeavour to offer an appointment within a reasonable time of your request. We cannot guarantee immediate availability. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM IST, unless otherwise communicated.
For your first session, you may be asked to complete an intake form before the appointment. This information is used solely for clinical purposes and is handled under our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to decline a booking request at our professional discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
05 Cancellation & Rescheduling
| Notice Given | Outcome |

| Less than 24 hours before session | 50% of the session fee is charged to cover reserved time. |
| No-show (no notice given) | Full session fee is charged. Session is forfeited. |
| Cancellation by Vaishalya Healing | Full rescheduling or refund offered. No charge to client. |
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance by email at help@vaishalyahealing.com or by phone. WhatsApp cancellations are accepted only if acknowledged by our team.
In cases of genuine medical emergency, cancellation charges may be waived at our discretion upon provision of reasonable evidence.
06 Fees & Payment
Session fees are communicated at the time of booking and may vary by service type, session duration, and whether the session is in-person or online. Fees are subject to change; any changes will be communicated before your next booking.
- Payment is due before or at the time of each session unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- We accept payment via bank transfer, UPI, or such other methods as notified from time to time.
- Receipts will be issued on request.
- All fees are quoted and charged in Indian Rupees (INR).
- We do not currently offer insurance billing or reimbursement assistance, though we can provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurer independently.
Refunds: Fees paid for completed sessions are non-refundable. Prepaid fees for future sessions are refundable in full if cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice. For programme packages (e.g. the Wellness Centre stay), refund terms are communicated separately at the time of enrolment.
07 Client Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and productive therapeutic environment, we ask that all clients:
- Attend sessions punctually. Late arrivals will be seen for the remaining scheduled time, and the full session fee applies.
- Provide accurate information about yourself, your history, and your current state. Withholding material information may limit the effectiveness of support we can offer.
- Treat the therapist and any other staff with respect. Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session and may result in services being discontinued.
- Not attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed substances. Sessions will be rescheduled in such circumstances and the session fee will apply.
- Keep session content confidential where it relates to third parties discussed in therapy.
- Inform us promptly if your circumstances change in a way that may be clinically relevant — for example, a new diagnosis, a change in medication, or a significant life event.
08 Confidentiality
Everything discussed in your sessions is held in strict professional confidence. We do not share session content with family members, employers, or any third party without your explicit written consent, except in the following legally and ethically defined circumstances:
- Risk of serious harm: Where there is a clear and imminent risk to your life or the life of another identifiable person, we may be obligated to contact emergency services or a designated person, with or without your consent.
- Court order: Where a court of competent jurisdiction orders disclosure of records.
- Statutory obligation: Where specific Indian law requires disclosure.
- Clinical supervision: Case material may be discussed with a qualified clinical supervisor for the purpose of maintaining professional standards. This is done without identifying information wherever possible.
In all circumstances, we will inform you of any breach of confidentiality wherever it is safe and lawful to do so. Full details of how your data is handled are set out in our Privacy Policy.
09 Online Sessions
Online sessions are conducted via video call platforms (such as Google Meet, Zoom, or similar). It is your responsibility to ensure you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space for the duration of the session.
- Sessions must not be recorded by the client on any device without prior written consent from the therapist. Unauthorised recording is a breach of these Terms and may attract legal consequences.
- If the connection drops during a session and cannot be restored within 10 minutes, we will reschedule the remaining time. If more than half the session was completed, the full fee applies.
- Online sessions carry the same fee and cancellation policy as in-person sessions.
- Online counselling may not be appropriate in all circumstances. The therapist reserves the right to recommend in-person sessions where clinically indicated.
Third-party video platforms operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend using a private, password-protected device for all online sessions.
10 Wellness Centre Stay
The Women's Wellness Centre programme at Vaishalya Healing involves a residential stay of between 15 days and one month. Specific terms for this programme — including intake assessment requirements, programme schedule, accommodation rules, fee structure, and refund policy — are provided separately in the Wellness Centre Enrolment Agreement, which forms part of these Terms when applicable.
- Enrolment is subject to a prior telephone or in-person consultation to assess suitability.
- The programme is designed for women experiencing stress, burnout, grief, relationship distress, or seeking structured mental wellness support. It is not a psychiatric facility and does not replace acute clinical care.
- Participants must disclose all relevant medical and psychiatric history before enrolment. Failure to do so may result in early termination without refund.
- Vaishalya Healing reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the programme if their behaviour poses a risk to others, or if their clinical needs are beyond the scope of the programme.
Please contact us directly to receive the full Wellness Centre Enrolment Agreement before making any payment.
